Testimonials

"There are so many "takeaways" for me from this class; not only did I learn a lot of technical and anatomical ways to improve my dancing, I learned mental and internal ways to change the way I think and feel about dance. This class has given me many ideas that I have been putting into my other classes and will certainly take with me into my future."

"Gina allowed an environment to be created that was open and encouraging. The class made me work hard and enjoy doing the work. She has so much knowledge about the body and she presented it in a really clear and helpful way."

"Gina is dedicated to each and every one of her students in class. She is upfront and honest with students and holds them accountable for the level of dancing she knows they are capable of. She always comes in prepared with a very structured class and concrete ideas that tie into each and every exercise, however, she also makes room for new material and new ways of exploring thesame ideas. She not only helps us grow as dancers but also as humans. She is honest with her feelings which makes the environment of the classroom feel open. Open to share your thoughts and feelings and also safe enough to freely explore without judgement. In her class she also includes information from Pilates and teaches her students about the alignment and physicality of the body."
"Gina is an exceptional instructor. She creates an environment where we are safe to make mistakes and learn, and through her technical instruction and challenges, I have learned so much about myself as a dancer and mover, a student, and a human being. Her approach to teaching provides various pathways which students can follow, allowing them to find the one that works for them to accomplish certain tasks. She gives students lots of information and then allows them to explore what interests and works for them. As an instructor, she gives dancers the opportunity to shape their own learning experience which felt most beneficial for me."

"I will never forget Gina's class. It is a rarity for a dance class to feel as open, honest, and accepting as Gina's class was. The environment she established in the very first week turned the class into a supportive community right away, which allowed me to open up tremendously as a dancer. Gina always made space for everyone and gave her time to everyone in the class. I never felt ignored or the need to fight for attention. She made an effort to see me, engage with me, and help me. Gina also tried to eliminate the unattainable dance ideals engrained in the traditional dance class system and encouraged me to just dance and exist as I am. I felt very human in her class. Along with all of this, she also taught me dozens of new things regarding biomechanics, form, technique, and more. The content she presented was very informative, and she guided me through the new information in useful ways. She gave time for me to embody the information and integrate it into my own physical facility. It was very practical and effective. Overall, I appreciated all aspects of Gina's class."
